Keep the Systems Running. Make Technology Work Smarter.
Litchfield Council is looking for someone who can take ownership of IT issues, coordinate technical support and make sure problems get resolved. If you're a hands-on IT professional who enjoys finding solutions, supporting people and keeping systems working as they should, this could be your next move.
About the Role:
This is a varied role where you'll combine practical IT support with systems administration, data integrity and information management. You'll be the go to person who helps staff resolve technical issues, coordinates external IT providers and ensures problems are followed through to resolution, rather than leaving teams to chase answers themselves.
From hardware and network related issues to business software, digital records and data management, you'll play a key role in keeping Council connected, efficient and productive.
Some of your main responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and troubleshooting IT hardware, software and systems to support day-to-day Council operations
- Coordinating external IT contractors and consultants to resolve issues and ensure service standards are met
- Administering Council's business systems, including Authority, InfoXpert and InfoCouncil, with training provided where needed
- Maintaining IT asset registers covering laptops, monitors, chargers and other equipment
What's needed for your success?
You'll ideally bring two to three years experience in a similar IT support, systems administration or IT operations role, along with a qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
A willingness to learn is essential, and training will be provided on council specific software.
But more importantly, you'll be someone who is:
- Technically minded - comfortable working with both hardware and software
- Solutions focused - able to investigate issues, coordinate support and see problems through to resolution
- Proactive - identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes
- Organised - keeping accurate records and managing IT assets and competing priorities
- A strong communicator - able to support staff with varying levels of technical knowledge
If you're ready to step into a role where your technical skills keep an entire organisation moving please apply now!
