Litchfield Municipality is situated on the outskirts of Darwin amid tropical rural bushland. We operate waste transfer stations; at Howard Springs, Humpty Doo and Berry Springs. The Council ensures that its operations have a great culture, valuing team work and celebrating success.

We are looking for Gatekeepers to join our team in continuing part time and casual positions.

As a Waste Transfer Station Gatekeeper, your main role will be to provide a high level of customer service at the Waste Transfer Station gatehouse, assessing acceptable materials and collecting appropriate fees.

We are looking for team players who are dedicated to providing great customer service. Previous experience in the waste management industry would be highly regarded. You will need to have the willingness to manage waste, and key to your success will be your commitment to Work Health and Safety. You will need to be competent in using computers and learning new systems.

Part time positions work a minimum 60-hour fortnight, and casual roles will be rostered as required.
